Vegan Grilled Cheese with Onion and Tomatoes Recipe

This vegan grilled cheese is a delicious comfort food that is simple to make. Melted vegan cheese, onion, and tomato combine to create a mouthwatering flavor that will satisfy any craving.

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Total Time: 18 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat a nonstick skillet to medium-high heat.
  • Each slice of bread should be brushed with butter on one side.
  • In the skillet, place two slices of bread, butter side down.
  • In the skillet, place a slice of vegan cheese on each slice of bread.
  • On top of the cheese, arrange the sliced onion and tomato.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • On top of the vegetables, place another slice of vegan cheese.
  • Place the remaining two slices of bread on top of the cheese, butter side up.
  • Gently press down on the sandwich with a spatula.
  • 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown.
  • Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the other slice of bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Allow to cool for a minute in the skillet before slicing and serving.
